Foundayo (Orforglipron) Cost: Insurance, Cash Prices and Refill Rules

Foundayo has separate self-pay and insurance savings routes. Check the prescribed presentation, offer eligibility and next refill conditions before treating a starting price as your care budget.

Short answer

As of October 3, 2026, eligible Foundayo self-pay prescriptions start at $149 per 30-day supply, with other prescribed presentations priced at $199 or $299 under current offers. Eligible patients with commercial insurance that covers Foundayo may pay as little as $25 per 1-, 2- or 3-month prescription fill. These are conditional program prices; confirm the amount due and refill terms with your pharmacy.

What determines the orforglipron price?

Foundayo (orforglipron) is an FDA-approved oral tablet that is swallowed whole. This guide covers that prescription product. Current prescribing information, revised July 2026, checked October 3, 2026.

Your quote depends on the prescribed presentation, payment route and offer eligibility. A manufacturer's list price is different from the amount a patient pays. The pharmacy quote is the number to confirm before checkout. Lilly cost information, checked October 3, 2026.

If your commercial insurance does not cover Foundayo, ask which program the pharmacy is applying. The commercial card for an uncovered prescription and the self-pay program have different terms. A similar advertised amount does not make their eligibility rules interchangeable. Lilly program terms, checked October 3, 2026.

Foundayo without insurance: check the next fill too

Two intermediate presentations have temporarily reduced self-pay prices of $149 and $199 per 30-day supply through December 31, 2026. Their listed regular prices are $199 and $299, respectively. Match the presentation prescribed to you to the manufacturer's price chart; these temporary reductions do not apply to every strength. Checked October 3, 2026.

For the two highest presentations, the first $299 Journey purchase is automatic. Continuing eligibility depends on completing the refill purchase within 45 days of delivery or receipt of the previous fill, rather than merely requesting the prescription. Regular pricing applies outside that window. Lilly Journey terms, checked October 3, 2026.

That is a payment-program condition. Keep treatment decisions with your prescriber; do not change treatment to preserve a discount.

As checked October 3, 2026, the self-pay card permits up to 10 prescription fills per calendar year and expires December 31, 2026. Taxes and fees may apply. It operates outside insurance: its terms prohibit third-party reimbursement, deductible or true out-of-pocket credit, and combining it with other Foundayo discounts. Self-pay terms.

What the commercial insurance savings card covers

As checked October 3, 2026, the covered-commercial offer limits savings to $100, $200 or $300 for a 1-, 2- or 3-month fill, respectively, and $1,000 per calendar year, with up to 10 fills. The card expires December 31, 2026. These limits can leave an amount above the advertised minimum to pay. Commercial savings terms.

Ask your insurer whether Foundayo is covered for your prescription and whether prior authorization is required or approved. Then ask the pharmacy for the amount due after the plan and any eligible assistance are applied. “You qualify for a card” is incomplete without a confirmed checkout amount.

A six-field written pharmacy quote

Ask the pharmacy to complete these fields and date its answer. This turns a headline price into a specific estimate you can compare.

FieldWhat to get in writing
Product and prescribed strengthExact brand and the strength already written on your prescription
Quantity and supply periodQuantity being dispensed and the days it covers
Payment route and eligibilityInsurance, commercial savings card or self-pay program; any unresolved authorization
First fill versus refillOffer used, applicable purchase deadline and program end date
Medication and care feesMedication charge, taxes, shipping and any separately billed consultations or services
Next actual totalThis fill's complete amount due and an estimate for the next fill, with assumptions

Compare quotes for matching products, quantities and periods. If a care service charges separately, include that amount in your budget instead of assuming the medication price includes it. Keep the completed quote for your own records; no public submission is needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the starting self-pay price apply to every refill?

No. Match the prescribed presentation to the current manufacturer chart and confirm whether a temporary price or Journey condition applies. Request the actual next-fill quote.

Is the advertised commercial savings price guaranteed?

No. Coverage, program eligibility and savings limits determine the amount due. Ask the pharmacy to confirm the final amount before dispensing.

Can Medicare beneficiaries use the commercial savings card?

The commercial card excludes Medicare and other government-program beneficiaries. Ask about any applicable coverage or separate program rather than applying commercial-card terms.

Does paying through the self-pay card count toward my deductible?

Lilly's self-pay terms prohibit applying those expenses toward deductible or true out-of-pocket requirements and prohibit third-party reimbursement. Confirm the payment route before purchasing.
